topic HP SIM email Notifications in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

I have recently reinstalled and setup HP SIM 5.0 on a different server. Email notifications no longer work when, for example, a hard drive fails. I do get notifications however, when the server is shut down and not pingable. I have double checked by SNTP settings and everything appears normal. I can send a test trap and that works fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Check the SMTP conenctivity from HPSIM Server to the E-Mail Server, just use Telnet and connect on the SMTP Port (25. You should be able to issue a "HELO" and get a response. if not your e-mail Server may not be configured to accept conenctions from the new Server.
