    <description>Will not launch means, I double click the SIM icon and, IE opens trying to access http:\\localhost:50000 and it just sits there without ever launching SIM.</description>

      <title>Systems Insight Manager will not launch</title>

      <description>I have installed, and uninstalled SIM 5.0 and still can not open. I have even uninstalled the MSDE and the data and all components installed by SIM and reinstalled to get the same issue.  I contacted HP tech support, case # 3214650969, and they said all configurations seemed fine but did not quite know what was wrong.  Any assistance would be appreciated.</description>

      <description>HPSIM when it starts takes some time to get going.&lt;BR /&gt;With HPSIM installed try browsing to https://yourhpsimserver:50000 from your Workstation or any remote workstation. What happens then?</description>

      <description>Shouldn't be long at all.&lt;BR /&gt;Perhaps that's a typo in an earlier part of the thread, but it should be https not just http.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;IE just sitting there is odd, that might indicate some kind of local proxy issue?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can also access HPSIM by Firefox, you could try that.</description>
