I followed instructions on how to update the repository and the option does not exist in the new version. This is a fresh install of 5.0 and there where no errors during install.

Here is what it says to do from this link.
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00293365/c00293365.pdf
To configure the repository and automatic update settings:
1. Select the Home tab. The Home page appears.
2. Click the Configure the Repository and Automatic Update Settings link. The Repository
Directory page appears.
3. In the Directory field, enter the location that you want to monitor for components and HP
ProLiant and Integrity Support Packs. This must be a local path on the repository system. Be
sure that the directory can be accessed with read-write privileges by the Version Control
Repository Manager Win32 service. Click Reset to restore the original directory setting, or
you can click Cancel to abort the change.
Note: The directory path cannot contain the ampersand (&) character. If this character is
used, the Version Control Repository Manager is unable to change the settings.
4. Click Next. The Automatic Update Settings page appears.
a. Select the Enable automatic downloading of new HP ProLiant and HP Integrity
Support Pack and components from Hewlett-Packard's website at a specified
interval and time option if you want the repository to automatically update.
15
Navigating the Software

Any Ideas?
Craig,
I guess you need to login as administrator to HP System Management Homepage by typing https://your-hostname:2381/ and then clicking on the Version Control Repository Link in the left frame will bring up a new browser window with VCRM tabs like Home, Catalog and Log.
You can find the links mentioned in the above help under Home tab.

Hope this helps.

-Anantha
