Hi

My customer want to hardening an Windows 2003 SP1 (member of a domain) with IIS and HP SIM 5.0 SP4. We got a member server OU and under that we have an HP SIM OU.

I'm using one MS recommended template at the root of my AD (password-policy) and one MS recommended template on the Domain Controller OU.

With the above activated my HP SIM-server works fine.

I have created on member server OU and in that OU i have created one OU named HPSIM-server.

On the memberserver OU i have activated an MS recommended template=High security-Member Server baseline (locks down services and to on.)

On the OU below I must lock up some things so that my HP SIM-server work again.

Anybody who know that I shall lock up??

Any links,articles, whitepapers about this?

Regards Mikael

Hello.

I had the same problem some time ago.
I'm trying to rememer how I resolved this issue.

Are you running with local MSDE or remote SQL ?

I think this was something to do with how the database traffic runs. Be sure to use TCP/IP with DB traffic.
