What I want is view information with HPsim like I do with the Compaq Insight Manager console trough SNMP protocol. I dont want to see the web agent page. ¿is this possible with HPsim? Thanks again.

Hi, I have problems getting information through SNMP agents installed on my servers. I have running an HPsim console and cannot get any information from this agents. In other servers where I have enabled web agents I can get this info with them, but I need to do the same with snmp. I already configured SNMP community settings ¿any ideas of whats going on? Thanks in advance! Christi

hpSIM uses SNMP for data collection, status and events. It does not format SNMP information into a user interface. It is the responsibility of the web agents to provide the user interface. This is important for several reasons--not only do the agents provide a lot more than just status information (version control agents for example) but we also are driving away from SNMP based on overwhelming customer feedback.
