Does anyone know off hand if there is an Insight Agent for clients that allows the various business class computers and/or workstations to be identified properly by SIM?

I know they used to make this but the only version I have seen is quite old. I'd rather not have to add Altiris servers to do client management when all I want to do is properly ID the nodes, e.g. HP dc7100 CMT, etc.

Thanks.

IF the systems are running Windows 2000 or later, HP SIM can use WMI to grab that info. Go into Protocols and find Global Protocol Settings and enter a valid credential that will unlock access to WMI. Also, makes sure tha the WMI Mapper that comes with HP SIM is installed and working.
