I've had the deploy functions disappear for the second time...
I check and see that the JRE is @ 1.4.1_04.

Also, when I click on any server the link goes no where..(I can go directly to any node and access the agent)

All 7.00 agents, Windows 2003 Native forest/domain..

I did have to change IP addresses and Domain names recently due to corprate changes...

On the first time, I re-installed HPSIM and everything "re-appeared"...

All of the choices under deploy have "disappeared" except for license manager..

thanks in advance..

"I did have to change IP addresses and Domain names recently due to corprate changes..."

Do you mean on the hpSIM server itself? If you originally installed hpSIM as DOMAIN1\ADMINISTRATOR and now are logging in as DOMAIN2\ADMINISTRATOR it's possible that you've confused it. hpSIM probably isn't properly identifying the user to associate a toolbox with him.

Does DOMAIN1 still exist? Even though this computer may not be part of that domain anymore, you should still be able to validate to it if it exists. Once in, add the DOMAIN2\ADMINISTRATOR account to the users and give it the same toolbox and systems list.

The HPSIM server is still in the same Active Directory domain, but the FQDN (or principle name) has changed...

A "parallel" IM7 @SP2 server is running OK at the same time..

I suspect that if I re-install the "links/functions" will re-appear..

Unfortunately, the re-install will overwrite the database of the currently discovered..

Anything else to try?..

Thanks.

Had the same problem and resolved it the following way.

There was a device with a space in the name (apparantly this causes the problem) which i renamed to a name without spaces (in my case this was an enclosure for a blade).
Then renamed the nodsecurity.xml file and restarted the IM service.

This fixed the problem
