HTTP Status 500

I just installed the latest SIM program (v. 5.0.2.0) and I am trying to set up email alerts. I go to automatic event handling and I am trying to create a new task.
I am able to select name, select existing event collection, and select actions, but when I get to Select time filter, then I get the HTTP Status 500 message and I cannot select Previous or Next. What could be the problem? Everything else works fine in the interface except this time filter. It does not matter if I choose existing event collection or create one of my own, it still gives the HTTP error when selecting time filter. I will print the entire error below:

HTTP Status 500 -

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

type Exception report

message

description The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.

exception

org.apache.jasper.JasperException
org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServletWrapper.service(JspServletWrapper.java:372)
org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet.serviceJspFile(JspServlet.java:292)
org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet.service(JspServlet.java:236)
javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:802)
sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor255.invoke(Unknown Source)
sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source)
java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source)
org.apache.catalina.security.SecurityUtil$1.run(SecurityUtil.java:243)
java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
javax.security.auth.Subject.doAsPrivileged(Unknown Source)
org.apache.catalina.security.SecurityUtil.execute(SecurityUtil.java:272)
org.apache.catalina.security.SecurityUtil.doAsPrivilege(SecurityUtil.java:161)
java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
org.jboss.web.tomcat.filters.ReplyHeaderFilter.doFilter(ReplyHeaderFilter.java:75)
sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor261.invoke(Unknown Source)
sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source)
java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source)
org.apache.catalina.security.SecurityUtil$1.run(SecurityUtil.java:243)
java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
javax.security.auth.Subject.doAsPrivileged(Unknown Source)
org.apache.catalina.security.SecurityUtil.execute(SecurityUtil.java:272)
org.apache.catalina.security.SecurityUtil.doAsPrivilege(SecurityUtil.java:217)

root cause

java.lang.NullPointerException
com.hp.mx.portal.taskandjob.MxTimeFiltersInstance.dumpTimeFilterMiniGrid(MxTimeFiltersInstance.java:745)
org.apache.jsp.mxportal.taskandjob.displayTimeFilter_jsp._jspService(displayTimeFilter_jsp.java:142)
org.apache.jasper.runtime.HttpJspBase.service(HttpJspBase.java:94)
javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:802)
org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServletWrapper.service(JspServletWrapper.java:324)
org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet.serviceJspFile(JspServlet.java:292)
org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet.service(JspServlet.java:236)
javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:802)
sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor255.invoke(Unknown Source)
sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source)
java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source)
org.apache.catalina.security.SecurityUtil$1.run(SecurityUtil.java:243)
java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
javax.security.auth.Subject.doAsPrivileged(Unknown Source)
org.apache.catalina.security.SecurityUtil.execute(SecurityUtil.java:272)
org.apache.catalina.security.SecurityUtil.doAsPrivilege(SecurityUtil.java:161)
java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
org.jboss.web.tomcat.filters.ReplyHeaderFilter.doFilter(ReplyHeaderFilter.java:75)
sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor261.invoke(Unknown Source)
sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source)
java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source)
org.apache.catalina.security.SecurityUtil$1.run(SecurityUtil.java:243)
java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
javax.security.auth.Subject.doAsPrivileged(Unknown Source)
org.apache.catalina.security.SecurityUtil.execute(SecurityUtil.java:272)
org.apache.catalina.security.SecurityUtil.doAsPrivilege(SecurityUtil.java:217)

note The full stack trace of the root cause is available in the Apache Tomcat/5.0.30 logs.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Apache Tomcat/5.0.30

Thanks for the links, but they did not fix he problem. This only happens when I am trying to set up email alerts, other than that, the program works fine.
