I would like to add more "System type" to SIM 5 attribute list.
There is not the right to choose from, I am missing "Scanner", just to mention one.

To be abel to add more "System subtype" too would be great.

From HPSIM look under Options -> Manage system Types, you can add devices there.

Click the New button and then Retireive from system, from here you enter the IP address of the device you want to add and use the details it requires.
It needs SNMP set up correctly on the device to be able to do this.
If the device does not have SNMP you can just edit the properties of the device and put what you want in there.

I had not been clear with my quistion ?
I can't make new "System type", I can only choose from what HP had made.
I can choose "server", "Hub", Switch", "Cluster", "Application", "Rack", "Router", aso.
I want to add names to this list so I can choose better fitting names.
It aaperes strange to me to call my "Scanner" a "Printer", or to call my "printerserver" for a "Server" or just "Printer" bacause it is not any of this.

No I don't think so, these categories are used in other parts of HPSIM. So I do not believe they can be added to.
