Insight Manager Event Notifier issue

Hi all,

I am kinda new to HP hardware and also software such as Insight Manager but I am having an issue creating a notifier using "event notifier" wizard. When it comes to "mail server" I put in servername.domain.com or servername but it keeps coming up with

An attempt to establish a connection with the mail server servername.domain.com failed. Please make sure that the mail server is correct and the mail server is online.

This will work on the actual exchange server but on every other server it comes up with the same error. I have even installed smtp services on the server but it failed.

can someone point me in the right direction.

You don't need the Event Notifier if you're going to use HPSIM.
Just configure SNMP on the client servers to allow the HPSIM Server access and also as a Trap destination.
