Are you referring to the old "Compaq Insight Manager" or the DMTF standard "Common Information Model" ?<BR /><BR />hpSIM replaces Insight Manager 7 which in turn replaced "Compaq Insight Manager." CIM went end of life in July, 2002.<BR /><BR />In turn, hpSIM is the first in the Insight Manager line to be able to use the WBEM protocols from the DMTF and WMI, Microsoft's WBEM instrumentation. In both cases these are considered "Common Information Model object managers."<BR /><BR />4.1 has not been announced and also not released.
