Blade Enclosure not detected

Hi

I've got a p-class blade enclosure that isn't being detected by insight manager. Could somebody please help me get this resolved.

Since the enclosure itself is not IP-connected, HP SIM gathers information about the enclosure through the iLOs of the blades in the enclosure. Have you discovered them? Are they associating?

Hi David,

Thanks for your reply. I hadn't discovered all the blades in that enclosure, but equally I hadn't discovered all the blades in the other enclosures, but their enclosures were being detected.

I managed to fix the problem, what I did was upgrade the ILO firmware from 1.42 to the latest (1.89 I think), then miraculously it worked. I can now see all the blade enclosures.

The other issue is that all the power modules in teh power enclosure have question marks on them, is there something wrong with this or is this normal.

Incidentally should I post a new question for my new power question?

Dan, did you update the firmware on all blade ILO's to get it to work?

Sorry for the late reply been off sick. Yes I updated all the blade servers ILO on that one enclosure.

I've also found that the some blades aren't getting associated with their enclosures even though they have an up to date ILO and psp pack. Any ideas why this is happening?
