The update has some pretty important fixes (at least in our environment).<BR /><BR />Particular to what we see as important fixes: degraded and failed storage events. For example: 'predictive failure' or definitive hard drives failures in a Proliant server did not alert by e-mail via SIM. This occured in our environment under the following conditions:<BR /><BR />- SIM 5.0 SP5<BR />- Proliant servers running PSP 7.60<BR /><BR />It isn't real clear why HP held back on release of an advisory against this update - maybe one is planned.<BR /><BR />The update is here:<BR /><A href="http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/25868.html" target="_blank">http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/25868.html</A><BR /><BR />It only needs to be installed to the SIM server.<BR /><BR />For our environment the issue described meant that we were not receiving hard drive failures on servers.
