Guys,

we've got 350 machines in HPSIM, occasionally we get servers that were previously 'green/orange/yellow' in the SW column go to Blue/white..

Sometimes i re-start the agents and SNMP, and it's fixed, sometimes i need to put in the passowrd again for the VC Agents, sometimes.... well... it just never goes back to a 'good' software status.

I've just uninstalled VC Agent on about 15-20 machines, they will be re-booted overnight and i'll put on the 7.65 version, to see if that helps

any ideas/thoughts please ?
There was certainly an issue with 7.50/7.51 of the agents where if you added or removed sub-agents and restarted the agents then they stopped working correctly and one of the casualties was a loss of connection with the VCA.
I've seen less of this with 7.60.
Not too sure what you mean by putting in the 7.65 VCA, it's generally recommended to update the entire PSP, not just parts of it. Just updating the agents can cause some issues as well.

Hey Rob,

As far as i'm aware they are all running 7.60 (will check and confirm they've taken the upgrade tomorrow, 99% sure though)

Well it seemed that HP have released VCA 7.65, so i was planning on installing that locally instead of via PSP deployment. However, i'm more than happy to push a full 7.60 PSP at the machines if you think that this will be the best solution.

Cheers in advance.

Steve.
