H E L P ! ! ! P L E A S E ! !

I'm unable to discover any systems either by Automatic or Manual discovery.

WBEM settings are ok, SNMP is setup ok. I've tried using Discovery filters and i've also tried it with the filter off completely.

I am attempting to discover HP servers across several subnets (routing is ok).

If I check the Audit logs it shows the following, but it does not add the system to the all systems list: -

1267: 2007-01-17 14:05:11 GMT,CONFIG,SUCCESS,RUN,DISCOVERY,Ping:172.nnn.nnn.nnn
GMT,CONFIG,SUCCESS,RUN,DISCOVERY,Ping:servername
Try this:
Stop the HP SIM service
From a DOS box, run mxconfigrepo -f
Start HP SIM service

Then try the discovery again.

Hi

I've now tried to MXConfigRepo -f but it's not fixed the problem.

We have now re-installed HP Sim 5.1 and SIM did start to discover devices and add them to the systems list but now it's stopped again.

Check the discovery filter settings, if they're enabled it may be that it has not recognised the device.
Disable them to start with and see if any devices are displayed.

Hi

Thanks for the info. I'm not currently using the Discovery filters so that it should find everything.

I've been investigating further, if I run mxnode -lt, all the systems that i've tried to discover are showing in the list.

They do not show in the All Systems List.

Any ideas?
Hi Steven
Sorry to say but...
I have the same problem as you.
The server won't show up in "All Systems" but it is listed when I run the command
mxnode.exe -lt.

Operating system: Windows 2003
Version: Systems Insight Manager 5.0 with SP4 - Windows
Build version: C.05.00.01.01

Have you find a workaround ?

Regards /Stefan
