SNMP sets have to be enabled by checking the box in the agents:

Start --> Control Panel --> HP Management Agents --> SNMP Settings

A Read-Write community string must be available for the agents to communicate amongst themselves.

Start --> Administrative Tools --> Services --> SNMP --> Security --> Accepted Community Names

At least one of the community names needs to have READ WRITE rights.

Note: hpSIM only needs to use a READ ONLY community string to communicate across the wire. Some people may desire to use a different string here with R W rights because that will never be transmitted over the wire (it is used internal to the agents) and therefore can't be sniffed.

You need to have SNMP sets enabled and a community string with Read-Write privileges.

I hope that I at least did that right! :)Where do you recommend making those changes, I edited the SNMP service and entered in the trap info there. Do I need to fill out the Security tab too?
