topic SNMP Trap Interceptor in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

We have had twol failed drives in the past two months and OpenView was unable to detect these failures through SIM. What we currently have set up is each node has the Foundation Agent setup to send traps to itself? Does the SNMP Trap Interceptor policies catch these traps and report to OpenView? What other setups need to be completed for this to work?

Hi

Which version of OVO are you running ?

On top of the local host destination for the traps, you need to install a dedicated plug for HP SIM.

The latest version of OVO (7.5)has a decicated plug for HP SIM.

see here more info :
http://www.managementsoftware.hp.com/products/ovowin/twp/ovowin_twp_hpsim_integration.pdf

best regards

fred
