HPSIM 5.1 problems when installing on SQL2005 DB

Hi

We try to install HPSIM 5.1 on a 2k3 ent. server with sp1 - the DB is to placed on a SQL 2005 (with sp1) ... I keep getting an error message saying "Insufficient rights to database" - is there a patch im missing, a workaround ... we have checked and checked again for missing rights on SQL but everything seems right and all other DBs are running correct ???

Hello,

Did you go into SQL server management studio, under security, logins and add the service account with a sysadmin role????

The account is set up as a DBO !

leave the install database as "master" and don't rename it. It will create the correct database name later on. Also I beleive the account may need rights to master.

The domain login account still has to have sysadmin server role (atleast my case). I had serveral different issues until one of my dba's showed me the problem and we fixed it.
