Good Day,

I have just installed HP SIM Manager in our environment. I have a mixed shope of IBM and HP servers. My questions is I want to capture all my IBM server information such as inventory to include serial, HD space Memory, etc like my HP boxes. Can someone please point me in the right direction to assist with this issue. Thanks in advance
To obtain the information you're looking for, the IBM servers must have the IBM Director agent installed. Director provides information via the CIM standard and subsequently to SNMP. So in order to get what you're looking for, install SNMP, IBM Director agent (5.10.3 or higher). Configure SNMP as you see fit for your environment, and then you can discover the servers in SIM and list the device statistics you're looking for after the periodic data gathering runs.
