topic Sim5 disk thresholds in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

We will be in the process of updating foundation agents on our nodes due to a fix that was reported for PSP versions older than 7.41 "Threshold alerts would not get resent when the total disk usage falls below the threshold value and then crosses it again". This must refer to the "Reset Critical Disk Percent Usage Threshold " because multiple alerts should not be sent when the "Critical Disk Percent Usage Threshold " is passed multiple times until the threshold alert is rearmed by the "Reset Critical Disk Percent Usage Threshold "

Is it a better practice to enable "falling threshold alerts" so there is a confirmation the the "Critical Disk Percent Usage Threshold" has been rearmed?
This is a bug with SIM 6.30. If you look at the windows event log on the server, there's no foundation event service alerts being logged when the threshold was met. Only Windows alert is logged. Foundation event alerts is the one sending the alerts to the SIM server. This should be a indication that there's something wrong with the agent and not SIM. The SIM agents is the one that sends the alert to the management server. If the manager server isn't getting the message, then no alert. This is a known issue in version 6 and below. Your collegue is doing the right thing by updating the agents. He deserves a raise! (hehehe)

Thanks,
I don't question the existence of this and possibly other bugs in this version of agents. However, Just to clarify

- is the issue only with 6.30 or any versiion earlier thatn 7.41 ? this is a difference of a few hundred servers for us.

- additional threshold alerts will not be sent if the reset threshold has not been hit regardless of foundation agent level.
