Constant Logout events on HP SIM server

Hi, I'm new to HP SIM (v5.0).

I am getting constant (once per minute) Logout events on our host server. See some details below:

Event Severity: Informational
Status: Normal
Description: Logout

User Name: mxadmin
IP Address: 127.0.0.1
System Name: 127.0.0.1

Anybody knows why this is happening? and how to fix this?

Hi,
try to select "Options->security->Login Event Settings"

Probably "All login and logout activities" option is checked.

Try to set "Only failed login attempts" I think this should be less noisy :)

I already knew of those options, but thanks for the response anyway.

I guess my question should be "Are these logins by mxadmin a normal behaviour, and something I could just ignore?"

We have another installation of HP SIM and it is not doing the same.

Btw, our version in v5.0 with SP2, running on Windows 2003 Server.

hi,

check in your hp sim audit log to see what tasks mxadmin is logging in and doing. it could be discoveries or status polling.
tasks --> view hp sim audit log.
