We are successfully receiving the Rising Threshold Passed and Critical Rising Threshold Passed events. However, we would like to get notifications from HPSIM that the File System Space Used has returned to an "OK" state.

The interesting thing is that i do not see any Falling Threshold events on the HPSIM server, only the Rising and Critical Rising threshold traps.

We are running HPSIM 5.1
HP Management Agents 7.60A
Server is a DL360G3

Thanks

The only way i think is to get a message is it goes back the event of being ok! is to do event to tell you it been cleared and at the same time you could cleared the event( the exact event you could select.)

I guess that may be the problem. I do not get a disk space OK event in hpsim from any of my servers. Rising Threshold events are successfully sent to hpsim.

These events show up correctly in HPSIM:
Rising Threshold Passed (10001)
Rising Threshold Passed (10003)
Rising Threshold Passed (10005)
Critical Rising Threshold Passed (10007)

And...These events do not show up in HPSIM:
Critical Falling Threshold Passed (10008)
Falling Threshold Passed (10002)
Falling Threshold Passed (10004)
Falling Threshold Passed (10006)
I also don't receive these (and never have) and am surprised that they are not even logged. I looked at the separate trap settings, and even the falling thresholds are set as critical events, and trap handling is enabled. I wonder why they are not logged or sent, like other critical events.

We are also running into the same thing. I just got done escalating this to HP SIM support this morning. They used a webex session on another discovery issue and I pointed out that our clients are not sending the falling threshold trap. So right now HP is doing some research on this one and they are not aware of any issues at this time with this specific trap.

Well the escalation to HP didn't go as well as I would of hoped. They claim that this feature never worked and that they will put in a "Request for Enhancement" on the Falling Threshold Passed trap. However I asked them, "Why does SIM have the MIB for this kind of trap already." They said, "Good Question" and are going to escalate it up the ladder. Not sure if I will get any response from them on this issue.
