Sending Traps

I have just set up HP SIM 4.0 on a server and have it monitoring servers for "System is Unreachable" events. If one comes in, it is to forward an SNMP trap to my two Tivoli consoles (one test and one production). The trap makes it to the test box (on the same segment), but not the production server (on a different segment). I have put a sniffer on the line and I see the trap to the test server, but it does not look like HP SIM even attempts to send the trap to the production server? Any thoughts?

Try just setting the event to forward the trap to the Server that is not working.

I cannot see how HPSIM would just not try to send the trap because it determined it couldn't.

After doing some more testing, it seems to send the trap to the first host in the list an no more. When I moved the Prod server to the first one in the list, it worked?

I don't forward traps so no idea how you separate Servers in the forwarding screen.

Maybe try different seperators, or might be a bug.

There is no seperator - you type a name and add it to a list. Then type another name and add it to the list. I'm am thinking bug!
