Number one : you can upgrade to 5.1, it might resolve any problem you have and with the new add on CW and other new features, it fun.

CW=Contract Warranty

What is minor error message?

Do not forget to apply you're points per message from 0 to 10.

Hard disk failure error level?

Hi all,
I'm using SIM 5 SP5. I've just been looking over all my kit on SIM, and noticed one of the servers has a minor alert on the hardware. So, I clicked on it, and went into the server page - turns out one of the disks in the OS mirrored pair has failed! My point is, should this be flagged as a minor alert - it's quite from minor as far as I'm concerned! I get email alerts from SIM for any major or critical alerts, but obviously didn't for the failed disk, since it thinks it's minor. any ideas ?

Charlie,
I had this same trouble with some of the alerts. If you know which trap it is, you can go in and change the trap category to major or critical so you will get alerts.
Options, Events, SNMP Trap Settings.
