Hi all,
I have two machines with SIM web client running continuously (24Hx7). Unfortunately I get weekly a windows message "Virtual memory low" and SIM client stop to work or crashes with error message "The instruction at "0x7..." referenced memory at "0x...." The memory could not be written."
In the task manager I see PF Usage > 2 GB and IEXPLORER.EXE process reserved more as 1 GB RAM. If I close SIM, PF Usage drops to 400 MB.

To my systems:
SIM 5.0 SP5 installed on DL380 G4 and viewing on desktop PCs with Pentium4 3GHz, 2GB RAM:
1. Win2003 Server R2 SP1, IE6 v 6.0.3790.1830
2. WinXP SP2, IE6 v6.0.2900.2180

Any ideas to fix it?

PS: Could anyone confirm IE7 works fine with SIM (running more as 1 week continuously)

Thx a lot
Juergen

Hi Dan,
thx for your answers.
I increased virtual memory to 4 GB on first PC and updated IE to version 7 on other one.
But I think, it will not solve the problem, but delay. Because I see in the task manager, IEXPLORE.EXE increases memory usage for 500 KB each 2-3 minutes. *strange*

Could you check memory usage/min for your SIM, please? Which browser do you use?

Thx
Juergen

Hi all.
How much is the RAM usage of the process IEXPLORE.EXE on your PC? After 2-3 days I can see that IEXPLORE allocated more as 648 MB RAM. (please note attached screenshot). IE6 and IE7 have the same problem.

Could somebody leave SIM in IE over night running and report RAM usage here, please? OS version and the version of SIM, too.

Thx a lot.
Cop
