I wish I could help you answer this question. If you are talking about the "Globally Unique Identifier," I too need to know how to obtain this information. All of my Vectras are DMI, and Windows 2000 treats them much differently re: Plug n Play than Windows 95 or 98. However, if I could find what Windows 2003 Server calls the GUID, I wouldn't even need Systems Insight Manager. HEY FOLKS - How about a little boost for us?

We have installed Systems insight manager on a windows 2000 server SP4 box (with all latest updates)
Attempted to remotely deploy a support pack from this server to another server.
The attempt was unsuccessful and received a message in the log which stated "set GID object"......anyone seen this? how to correct?
Any help appreciated. Thanks.
