    <description>In HP-UX I created new user hpsmdb and change owner of /var/opt/hpsmdb directory from root to hpsmdb and issued mxinitconfig -a again. And problem solved.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this help in Linux also.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;--ARVIN</description>

      <description>Dear Experts&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;We are facing some issues with HP SIM 5.x on Linux Systems. Here are the details.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any ideas on what the problem could be ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Server Information: -&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;O.S.: -Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Kernel version: - &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Linux GCPLINGGN3SPS04 2.6.9-5.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Jan 5 19:29:47 EST 2005 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Processor: - 3600 MHz&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Desc: "Compaq Computer Corporation Smart Array 64xx"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HPSIM: - SIM 5.1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;RAM-1GB&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Unable to install HPSIM 5.1 version.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;At the time of installion following error occurred: -&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;[root@GCPLINGGN3SPS04 bin]# service postgresql restart&lt;BR /&gt;Stopping postgresql service:                               [FAILED]&lt;BR /&gt;Initializing database:                                     [FAILED]&lt;BR /&gt;Starting postgresql service:                               [FAILED]&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;[root@GCPLINGGN3SPS04 bin]# mxinitconfig -a&lt;BR /&gt;Checking Requisites (14):&lt;BR /&gt;  1.
