ok thanks for the help ...
but all these files there dont allow any automation since they dont integrate into VCR. but it seems thats the only way for Storage servers since a supportpack for the SS contains a lot more patches and also MS patches.

oliver

Hi,
we are running a SS 2003 based on a ML350g .The VCA and VCRM are configured and working properly with other servers. The problem on the SS is that the VCA can not detect a standard PSP (7.80) as a baseline PSP. The list stays empty. When i configure a custom support pack it works and shows in the list. Any idea what this can be ? Is it maybe because its a storage server and not a standard win 2003 ?

thanks for help !

Have you pulled down a PSP for a Storage Server?
Go to:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/index.html
There's a separate entry for SS so it may be there's a different file to download.
