    <description>I have not had much luck doing this.  I had the Mibs imported and everything set up, but the alerts Sims sent were just to many to handle, and some were uneccesary.  I use APC Power Chute Business edition to manage our ups'.</description>

      <description>It can, but when I tried it generated alerts during every discovery cycle.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The APC would treat the polling as a logon attempt and then report a logon failure.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You'll need to import the APC MIBs into HPSIM.</description>

      <description>"It can, but when I tried it generated alerts during every discovery cycle.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The APC would treat the polling as a logon attempt and then report a logon failure."&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you don't want these "Detected an unauthorized user attempting to access..." during HP SIM discovery cycles, you maybe want to disable the Authentication Traps on the APC Management Card.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;A more granular event configuration can also be done with "Detailed Event Action Configuration" on the APC Web interface.</description>
