topic SIM & ILO Inconsistent in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

I am running the latest SIM and have the latest drivers & firmware loaded for the ILOs in (3) DL380G4s (1) DL380G5 and all the ILOs in SIM have these same effects.

On my SIM server if I go to systems by type and look at all servers my (4) servers with ILOs show up. Sometimes the MP (Management Processor) column indicates a green check for all good and sometimes a blue i for no management processor found.

My trouble is that the blue i is wrong - my ILO is still fully functional yet SIM is reporting it as not there.

Second part of this is if I view by system type and look at all management processors, they are all green checks in a good status - even when systems by type- all servers says they are not there.

Anyone else run into this and fix it?

I previously had an issue where all my ILOs were constantly switching from reachable/unreachable events but an update to the Network COnfiguration Utility cured this.

The constant switching between present and not present is that same kind of effect.

I too have been seeing this on our DL360 and DL380 servers. We did a fresh install of SIM 5.1 SP1. After discovering the servers, the iLO status appears to be inconsistent from one day to the next. Not only for regular rack-mount servers but for blades as well. Sometimes the servers will show up as being part of the enclosure and sometimes they won't. These are BL25P G1 blades.
I have also gone through the process of updating management agents and firmware, but to no avail.

Thanks for the reply!

Sorry you have the same issue, but glad to know it isn't just me :)

Well, my issue seems to be solved. I thought I did this already but with everything I did on my previous issue maybe I didn't do it after the NCU updated solved my other issue -
Deleted the ILO's and servers they were in from SIM

Ran a manual identify and discovery.

All seems well now.
