topic VCR issues in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

I just installed Insight Manager CMS on a new system and when I try to look at 'Options - VCR' it fails with an Java error. Actual error description is 'The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.'

All other aspects of Insight Manager appear to be working OK.

Any ideas?

Just a guess, try clearing the Java Cache files. Right Click the java icon and Open Console.
You might want to shut down the IM Browser session.
Out of interest, what version of the JRE are you running?

I tried clearing the cache and the Java version is -
Java(TM) Plug-in: Version 1.4.1_04
Using JRE version 1.4.1_04 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM

The failure is still the same.

This is on a plain vanilla install of Server 2003 with all the updates applied with the only thing out of the ordinary is that it's pointed at a SQL 2000 db instead of a MSDE db and is installed on a DL360 G2 with 1GB memory.

Steve,
Have you tried browsing to this from a Workstation that is not the Server?

I guess the other thing to check is that the VCR is installed.
That should show up in the VCA Listing, I believe the current version is 2.0.1.30
