I'm looking to send a test trap from a server to SIM to test alerts are being received ok.

I would like to do this from the command line and not via the control panel applet.

We have SIM 5.0 SP5. Agents are 7.x

Thanks for your help in advance.
The HP Agents just pass the details to the standard windows snmp executable.
I don't think that can be run from the command line.

There are snmp trap send utilities that you can download, but you'll then need to understand OID's etc. and configure it to send something HPSIM understands.
