https://community.hpe.com/t5/server-management-systems/avaya-g3mib-ans1-compilation-errors/m-p/4052560#M28775 <!--!*#-->I am trying to use HPSIM (C.05.01.00.02) to monitor an Avaya 8720 via SNMP. the MIB is downloaded from the device and is attached.<BR /><BR />When trying to complile I get the error:<BR /> Line: 34: Error defining OBJECT IDENTIFIER: Expected '{', found org<BR /><BR />I have tried commenting out the following:<BR /><BR /> -- iso OBJECT IDENTIFIER ::= { 1 }<BR /> -- org OBJECT IDENTIFIER ::= { iso 3 }<BR /> -- dod OBJECT IDENTIFIER ::= { org 6 }<BR /> -- internet OBJECT IDENTIFIER ::= { dod 1 }<BR /> -- private OBJECT IDENTIFIER ::= { internet 4 }<BR /> -- enterprises OBJECT IDENTIFIER ::= { private 1 }<BR /><BR />...because I read on another forum for another SNMP manager that that solved their issue.<BR /><BR />Sure enough, it does process it after that, but with the following errors:<BR /><BR /> Compiling g3mib.mib<BR /><BR /> Processing import file: rfc1213.mib<BR /> Processing import file: RFC1155-SMI.mib<BR /> Failed to open import file: g3-avaya-mib.mib<BR /> could not compile module G3-AVAYA-MIB<BR /><BR /> Processing import file: rfc1213.mib<BR /> Processing import file: RFC-1215.mib<BR /> Mib file compilation completed with warnings<BR /><BR />Has anyone had any experience with this that could lend some advice as I am stumped?
