      <description>Hi all,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;We have two ESX Servers with HP Agents 7.80 installed. In Insight Manager and on the SHM the two unused NIC's are reported with the orange Icon. Can i somehow configure the NIC Agents witch Interfaces to monitor?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank's Andres</description>

      <description>I have the same problem.&lt;BR /&gt;DL380G5 and NC364T with only 2 ports used, the other ports are reported with link down in HP SIM.&lt;BR /&gt;Howto disabled this?</description>

      <description>Even when you shut down the Interface in the Console, the Agent still reporting a failure...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this will be fixed in the next release.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Best Regards&lt;BR /&gt;Andres</description>

      <description>I use the ifconfig command on the console to shut the nic's down.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Type 'ifconfig', it will display all your nics.&lt;BR /&gt;Look for the ones that aren't transmitting (TX/RX should be 0)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then type 'ifconfig nic down' (where nic is the name of the nic)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This seems to work most of the time, but it doesn't hold after a reboot, so I usually have to do them all over again.  Luckily VMware hosts are rarely rebooted.</description>
