When you use wbemdisco the default account / password to use is administrator/administrator. these are not domain accounts they're specific to the SMI-S connector. You can add accounts using the cimuser utility.
The SMI-S connector is installed as part of CV.

It is this account/password you put in the wbem section of the server specific wbem settings for the server running commandview.
Also note that wbem needs to be enabled globally in HPSIM. You can leave the global credentials blank.

See:
ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/storageworks/smisproviders/smis_troubleshooting.pdf
HI,

First try test in this document:
ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/storageworks/smisproviders/smis_troubleshooting.pdf

I also figured out that HP SIM need to discover and identify corect protocol on my storage appliance server or where CommandView is installed (Picture 1 in attachment. The critical is WBEM wich must be one of them.

Search the forum for wbemdisco and you'll find similar threads.
Basically HPSIM uses WBEM to access this information via the server running CommandView.

CV 5 isn't very good, CV 6 or above is preferred. It installs an SMI-S component and the account / password used there is what you add into the wbem credentials on the server that hosts CV.

Testing is done using wbemdisco.

Thanks Ivan and Rob, but I can not fix the problem. I run wbemdisco and received error that I can not solve. I read some pdf about that and nothing. I have installed CV 6.02, SIM 5.0 in a WSS 2003 SP1. However this server go into the domain recently and change account and password. I supposed the problem came for that.
Sorry for my poor english.
Thanks all.

I also managed out that a couple of things must be done befor EVA is visible in SIM

1.
Add user to CIMOM on the system where SMI-S is installed.
2.
Add read and write authorization for cimuser for root/pg_interop namespace, on the system where SMI-S is installed.
3.
Enter the WBEM username and password in global settings.
4.
Import SMI-s certificate on SIM trusted certificate list.
5.
run discovery for server where SMI-S is installed.

After that I can see EVA in HP SIM.
Ivan
