topic Unmanaged Systems in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

I have a large number of unmanaged systems that were previously reporting as servers. I checked the archives of this board and saw to check SMTP settings. They look the same as they've always been set on SIM and the servers. Any other troubleshooting ideas I can go through?

Thanks,
Tim
I'm guessing you really meant you checked the SNMP Settings... damn acronyms!

Unmanaged does indicate the SIM has not been able to use any of the Management protocols.

I've found SNMP the easiest to get going / understand.
What is the OS? note that by default W2003 has Allow selected Hosts access whereas W2000 had allow all.
Try adding in the IP addresses of the servers that are labeled "unmanaged" in the hosts file on the SIM server also you can make sure that you have the SNMP settings on the "unmanaged" servers including the IP address and community name of the SIM server.
