One way you can do it is to go to Options, Status Polling, Software Status Polling. Select All Servers on the target page. When that loads, you can go through and select the ones you want, then click Apply. You can them either run it or schedule it.

Hi Everyone,

I was curious if there's a way to run a custom software poll on a selection of servers. I tried changing the software poll job to run on a small collection of servers but the polling started to process all of the managed servers.

Thanks!

Dana

Hi Rancher,

Thanks for the reply.

The software polling was taking a long time to run so I figured polling a few servers after configuring them would be nice.

I caused the polling task to hang somehow and rebooted the CMS. After the reboot the polling ran nice and quick. Guess it needed a good restart.

Thanks!

Dana
