topic tempdb issues in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

On the sql server 2000 where the Insight db's are located, the log file for tempdb is growing at over 60GB/month. In trying to ascertain what is causing the growth I have found that there is a transaction blocking me from doing so. The transaction is being run by user SIMAdmin from the application jTDS on the database vmm_db_v2. I have also noticed that the transaction has been running for a month since the last time the server was restarted.
