    <description>You shouldn't rely on status changes to pick that up.  If you have your trap destinations set properly, you will get specific events about what is going on, not just status changes.  Status polling is just a backup mechanism.</description>

      <description>&lt;BR /&gt;Hi All,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I was able to configure the event notification for the severity change from critical to normal. I am wondering if you have successful done one.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Here is the scenario:&lt;BR /&gt;Two HBAs in the server&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If one of the HBA is disconnected from the SAN switch, I received status changes which is critical. But when I reconnected it I did not get any normal events even though I have setup a normal severity event.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I did get both for the ping event.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Steve&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
