Clear HPSIM Database.

Hello.

How do I clear out the HP SIM database ?

I have som problems with the database, and I want to start over.

What is the steps for starting with a empty HP SIM database ??

Stop the HP SIM service and then run

mxiniticonfig -a

from %PROGRAMFILES%\hp\systems~1\bin (Windows) or /opt/mx/bin (Linux) and when complete, restart the service.

Hello.

I was a little to early to give away the points.
The first time i ran the command it failed, and I couldn't get HP SIM online again.

I have now uninstalled HP SIM, and I am trying to reinstall !!

This case will be updated.

Correct command is: mxinitconfig -a

But this only (re)-initialize the Database. The current Data will not be cleared/deleted.

I have tested this on a working HP SIM Installation.

Thanks for this reply.

I am now configuring the newly installed HP SIM 5.1

What will be the best to do with the database.
I have set it to recovery model -> simple.

Some other settings that should be set ?
