I have 442 files in C:\Program Files\HP\Systems Insight Manager\mibs

Can you be more specific about which one(a) contain c7000 information?

I have been trying for the last 2 hours to simply find the stupid OID of the "Enclosure Ambient Temperature" that I can see in the OA and SIM with no luck.

I found some CPQRACK details here:
http://www.oidview.com/mibs/232/CPQRACK-MIB.html
Those have an entire section about Temperature.
But when I feed the corresponding OID into snmpwalk.exe it tells me the remote machine doesnt have that OID.

When I use the MIBs from SIM mentioned above and tell it to map out everything for the c7000, it doesnt seem to load much if anything in the way of custom HP information.
I only get back SNMPv2, IF, RFC1213, TCP and UDP

All of the ProLiant and BladeSystem related MIBs can be found in the \Program Files\HP\Systems Insight Manager\MIBS directory of a functioning HP SIM system. they also can be found in the \TOOLKIT\MIBS directory of the HP Management CD found in the ProLiant Essentials Foundation Pack. You can also download that CD from http://www.hp.com/servers/smartstart
That information is not instrumented in SNMP and HP SIM does not use SNMP to gather that information from OA. The primary function of the CPQRACK MIB is for trap definition and not for SNMP walking.

The information you want can be found in the XML data response from OA: http://[OA_IP_OR_DNS_NAME]/xmlreply?item=all

Thanks David, at least I can stop looking for it now. Though its a little depressing as I was hoping to use Cacti (like MRTG) to chart the Ambient Temp over time.

PS: Your link doesnt seem to work.

Not Found

The requested URL /xmlreply was not found on this server.
Apache Server at SGH7286NW7 Port 443

And yes I swapped in the actual hostname of one of my OA and made sure I was logged in properly before changing the URL.
