Martin, I don't see an option to do that. The closest I get is a check box:
'Set traps to refer to this instance of HP Systems Insight Manager '
There's no option to add another trap destination.

I have an established 4.2 SP2 SIM server which I'd like to migrate to a brand new server and upgrade it to 5.0 SP1 in the process. I would prefer for it to continue to use MSDE on the new server if possible. I've looked high and low but can't see the official process anywhere.
Can anyone help me with this please?

MartinS,
Thanks for taking the time to reply. Unfortunately I've already been through this document and it only applies to in-place upgrades rather than server migration.
If you come up with anything else then please let me know.
Tks.
A.

Thanks Daniel, but this document only advises how to migrate to an SQL database. I wish to retain the MSDE DB.

Failing this, what tool can I use to re-point all my existing managed systems to the new server? I see brief references to something called mxagentconfig. I don't know whether this is what I need.
Alternatively, do I use an AD policy to change every managed systems' SNMP settings?
Any help would be appreciated.
Tks,
A.

How about run the configure and repair agents and add in the IP of the new CMS as a Trap Destination ? You could even leave the old CMS in their too while your migrating. Then you could export the devices to a hosts file and then import into your new SIM CMS Go to Options->Discovery->Manual Discovery->Hosts File. Click 'NEW'. Give the file a name
