The path to my respository is C:\Software\Repository. I set this up when I installed HP Sim.

There are an aweful lot of cpxxxxxx.exe files so I'm guessing HP Sim automatically downloaded these.... How do I check the settings within HP Sim?

Just weird how I still get the error message. Maybe it hasn't downloaded properly.... Can I force a re-download?

Any help would be grand.

Hello

I am trying to deploy the ProLiant Support Pack to some servers using HP Sim.

When I try and run the scheduled task I am getting an error back in big red writing saying "Some files could not be found in the repository. Be sure the repository contains all of the components for the selected Support Pack and try again".

Silly question, but do I just download the latest Support Pack? If so, where do I then save the files on the repository server?

Thanks for all your help.

James

When you installed the VCRM, it should have prompted you for a location of the repository. Do you remember what location you selected?

I can't remember the default - I use a non-standard location for mine, but I believe it is something like c:\repository.

You can also have the VCRM automatically download support packs and files to that location. So if you have set that up, you should not have to manually download anything.

Nelson

Basically, any valid HP support file you throw in there, including firmware, will be seen by the VCRM. So, just download the lastest HP support pack (8.0) and throw it in that directory (I recommend a seperate sub-dir for each Support Pack - it will parse sub-dirs). Make sure you configure the 3 configurable parts (Agents, VCAgent and I forget to the 3rd) for your environment so that when it pushes it out, it pushes it out with your settings.

Nelson
