topic Linux Deploy Firmware from HP SIM Capability in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

I have a large number of Linux servers running RHEL4 that need to have upgraded system firmware installed. I noticed HP SIM doesn't yet have the capability to deploy the system firmware on Linux servers, nor does it show upgraded firmware on the servers. I remember seeing a few threads on here regarding that capability not being available for now. Is this still the case? When should we expect this to be available.

Thanks

Hi,

No its not available yet in SIM.
for deployment over linux you can use "ICE linux". By this you can deploy OS, PSP or firmware and others easily..
Yeah it paid not a free ware. :-)
See below..
http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/control-tower/questionsanswers.html
