Lost Server

Hi,

i have the following issue (i hope it's a bug with the new 5.2...)

Sometimes my servers disappear from the database (nothing in the search bar) while they where identified and running few time ago.

If i manually add the server, they comme back with all the good agent configuration ...

Someone have an idea ? a schedule task perhpas ?

I have a similar problem. If a server reboots, SIM will change its registered name to that of the servers serial number. This makes it look like the server is missing from SIM. But it reality, it is still there but with a different name (the serial number).

For me, even if the server not reboot, sometimes it disapear from the database ...

Is there a fix or something ... it's a little bit Boring for a management software if it lost his own server ...

Hi Eric,

I also faced the same problem earlier.
What i did,I simply entered the Server host name and IP address in Sim Server host file.

It may help you.

The problem is that the issue is random and i don't want to spend time to manage the database ...

Is there a fix in the next release or something ?

i've fixmy "lost" server in "Host files" from the Template host file like :

# Title: [title here]
# Author: [author here]

# Example:

# 1.1.1.2 myServer2.mysite.com myServer2

##$IMXE_DEFAULT: Type = desktop

xx.xx.xx.xx MySrv.MyDomain MySrv

After i launch "Add system Now" but none server is added
