HP SIM Notifications

All of sudden HP SIM stopped sending me notifications about the servers such as System is unreachable.

Can someone help me to get it back working?

Did you check if the SMTP gateway is working ok. You can use the SMTP option under Options --> First Time Wizard to try testing by sending a Test SMTP mail.

I have same problem. SMTP is working, I am getting E-mail alert from other events like when the power supply died but not when the server went down

Any solution for this

You can create a new event notification for isolation. Check the Options--> event--> Create new task. Select all Major and Minor events.

They are two different processes involved.
Hardware failures are picked up by the agents. SNMP Traps are then generated and sent and the HPSIM event handler deals with those.

System Unreachable events are triggered by HPSIM itself based on the results of the Hardware Polling task.
