Software Essentials Standalone

Hi all,

I have just installed software essentials 6.0 standalone (without SIM) & am getting 'page cannot be displayed' error when trying to browse to https://:50000
The doco doesn't seem to cover the standalone option very well, and I am wondering if it can work at all on its own ? I have checked the SE service has started & the iis service has stopped.

did u see SIM services "HP Systems Insight Manager" service is running or not?
If not start it and then try after 2 mins.

If u see same message just see if u have disabled this in ur proxy?

Thanks for your reply. The SIM service isn't listed in my services at all, under HP or SIM. Do I need to install something else ?

Problem solved using http://machinename
Shame the documentation doesn't say that !
