I've installed SIM 5.2 on RHEL 3 on a DL380G2.
I'm getting systems showing up as unknown and unmanaged as well as messages that say VP agent NOT CONFIGURED or DOES NOT TRUST SIM SERVER.

1. VCRM isn't running on CMS. How do I get it started and starting on boot up?

2. Is PSP different for different between versions of RHEL? Versions of SUSE? Versions of Windows Servers?

3. Is there a way to push out the PSP and VCA to clients from the CMS?

4. If there are multiple names in DNS for a server how do I get only one of them to show up in the CMS so as to not mistake them for multiple servers?

The end result of this mission is to be able to deploy ssh keys, psp's, and firmware updates to existing systems and new systems as they come online.

If there are also links where someone has implemented anything close to this I'd appreciate those also.

1. VCRM isn't running on CMS. How do I get it started and starting on boot up? -- VCRM is only for windows

2. Is PSP different for different between versions of RHEL? Versions of SUSE? Versions of Windows Servers? - Yes it differs between RHEL and SUSE and even diff For RHEL 3 and 4... and SUSE 9, 10 ..

3. Is there a way to push out the PSP and VCA to clients from the CMS? --NO not for Linux

4. If there are multiple names in DNS for a server how do I get only one of them to show up in the CMS so as to not mistake them for multiple servers?
-- For this you need to have revers loop back. means in your host.conf file DNS should be proper

There is new suite for linux name ICE-Linux to deploy OS, PSP and others on Linux boxes. you can read through below:
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/insightcontrol_linux2/index.html
You can install VCRM on a Windows machine (It can be installed separately), and point all VCA to this and SIM can also point to this VCRM.
