HI,

yes you need to install HP Agents means Proliant Support Pack on each target server to make it working with SIM or you can say to manage server you need management agents.

PSP is a suite of all drivers and agents needed for server.

PSP download you can go to HP.COM
click support n drivers u will get below page:
http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html?pageDisplay=drivers
Enter your Blade Model name(e.g.:BL460c) and then you will get all OS's supported go each page and click on SLES10 and download PSP.
PSP 7.91 is good till now.

So after that you can get SMH(System Management Homepage) for that server via (https://<SERVERIP>:2381) to manage and see that server health and status.

Now You need to do proper SNMP configuration to make it work with SIM. that you can see below thread there i already explained here:
http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1227245

Hope it will help.</SERVERIP>

Hi again

Ive installed the PSP but i had a little problem with the NFS Filesystem at the installation.

###################################
An ERROR has occurred...
While attempting to mount the NFS filesystem:

/filesystem/path, on server: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
###################################

Anyway. These are the last 3 Lines.
Looks like it could Run but now i cant connect to the server with the HP System Management Homepage.

Restarting SNMP Daemon...[ Done ]

Restarting HP System Management Homepage...[ Done ]

Restarting HP System Management Drivers and Agents...[ Done ]

Terminated!

Is the NTF Fileserver the problem ?

Hi

Sry for that it. It was a mistake at the installation.

The Agents works fine now. THX

But the system Types are still unknown. I think theres a problem with the Snmp Service.

In the Product Description there ware only these following Management Protocols
(HTTP:, SMH:2.0, SSH:SSH-1.99-OpenSSH_4.2)

But when i go on the system that i want to monitor and execute the command:
service snmpd status

i get the message that it is running.

Here is my snmpd.conf file

dlmod cmaX /usr/lib64/libcmaX64.so
rwcommunity private
rocommunity public
rwcommunity private X.X.X.X (CMS IP)
rocommunity public X.X.X.X (CMS IP)
trapcommunity public
trapsink public
trapsink X.X.X.X (CMS IP)
# ---------------------- END --------------------
# Please see /usr/share/doc/packages/net-snmp/EXAMPLE.conf for a
# more complete example and snmpd.conf(5).
#
# Writing is disabled by default for security reasons. If you'd like
# name to something nominally secure (keeping in mind that this is
# transmitted in clear text).

# Note that if you define the following here you won't be able to change
# them with snmpset

# These really aren't meant for production use. They include all MIBS
# and can use considerable resources. See snmpd.conf(5) for information
# on setting up groups and limiting MIBS.

Some ideas ?

Sry for my bad english ^^
