HI

I have installed HP Insight Manager some time ago using if I recall a Windows domain admin account. It was later decided that the software should be able to work with local accounts so al services were cahnges to this. This again worked fine.

Recently however we cannot open the HP Inight maanger application it just hangs at the HP INIGHT MANAGER CHECK SERVICE.

We have tried reverting it back to use domain admin account stillno luck.

Our logs show event id 3
com.hp.mx.database errors errors accessing database

any ideas how to fix with reinstall/ reconfig the whole thing!

If you don't use the desktop icon to launch HP SIM and instead launch a browser pointing to http://localhost:280 does it work? You might have some security setting that is preventing the check service from getting a positive response.
